Epidemic Sound Adds Sound Effects to Mobile App, Enhances Playback Features

Epidemic Sound, a music licensing company, has announced updates to its mobile application and web platform, focusing on user experience enhancements for content creators. The updates introduce new features and refine existing ones to provide a more robust toolkit for audio production.

The company's mobile app, available on iOS and Android, now includes access to its vast catalog of 90,000 sound effects. Previously available only on the web, sound effects can now be discovered, saved to playlists, and downloaded directly through the mobile application, addressing a frequently requested feature from users.

In addition to sound effects, Epidemic Sound has revamped its playback features to improve navigation and control. New functionalities include shuffle play, repeat options for entire track listings or single tracks, and the ability to easily return to previous tracks. The volume control has been updated from a linear to a logarithmic scale, offering finer adjustments and a more precise audio experience.

The platform's navigation has also been optimized. Users can now access personalized recommendations and new releases under 'Discover,' browse all themes, genres, and sound effects in 'Browse,' and manage playlists and downloads in 'Saved.' A heart icon has been implemented in track listings for quick saving to a 'Liked sounds' playlist.

These updates reflect Epidemic Sound's commitment to evolving its service based on user feedback. The company continues to support creators by providing accessible and comprehensive audio resources for their projects.
