The new API is specifically designed for developers aiming to offer users seamless music and sound effect incorporation into content creation tools or other applications.

The interface supports multiple integration methods, including automated soundtrack generation based on text prompts, such as "upbeat, summer, playful, 15 seconds." It also allows for music suggestions based on video content's tempo, mood, and intent. Similar to traditional video editing tools, the API supports timeline-based workflows, including search, audition, swap, and trim functionalities.

Epidemic Sound emphasizes the API's capability to provide scalable and secure licensing solutions. As the company owns all rights to its music, it can offer platforms and their users protection against copyright infringements. This is particularly crucial for platforms handling large volumes of user-generated content and needing to ensure licensing legality.
