Music licensing service Epidemic Sound has launched TrackShop, a platform focused on licensing individual music tracks. The revamped storefront allows users to select and license a single track without committing to a subscription, offering a flexible solution for creators requiring music for a specific production.
The service is particularly aimed at those who do not need continuous access to Epidemic Sound's extensive music library. TrackShop features four distinct license tiers: Private, Personal, Commercial, and Business. The Private license, intended for personal projects, is priced at $6.99 and covers usage across multiple platforms like YouTube and social media, including monetization on YouTube.
The Personal license, designed for commercial monetization of content, costs $39.99. For professional productions and client work, the Commercial license is available for $99.99. A Business license, intended for broader corporate use including TV advertising and streaming services, requires direct contact with sales for details and pricing.
Epidemic Sound states its catalog contains over 55,000 tracks. The update to TrackShop aims to make licensing individual tracks more accessible and affordable, addressing the needs of smaller projects and freelance creators.
