Epiroc breaks ground on new global distribution center in Sweden
Mining and infrastructure company Epiroc has begun construction on a new global distribution center in Örebro, Sweden. The facility will focus on logistics for aftermarket products.
Epiroc AB has initiated the construction of a new major distribution center in Örebro, Sweden. The project, which commenced in September 2025, aims to enhance the global distribution of the company's spare parts and other aftermarket products.
The investment is a response to Epiroc's significant growth and increased demand in recent years. Current distribution operations in Örebro were spread across several smaller facilities, leading to inefficiencies. The new center will consolidate operations, employing advanced automation and smart logistics to improve flow, enhance safety, and reduce environmental impact.
The facility, covering approximately 29,000 square meters, will be equipped with solar panels and is expected to be operational in the second half of 2027. It will handle the distribution of spare parts for equipment including Epiroc's drill rigs, loaders, and mine trucks.
Örebro serves as one of Epiroc's key global hubs for manufacturing, research and development, and distribution. The company employs around 3,000 people in the city.
