Epiroc receives large order for mine trucks and digital solutions in Chile
Epiroc has secured a significant order from Chilean mining company Sociedad Punta del Cobre SA (Pucobre) for a substantial fleet of underground mine trucks and digital solutions.
Swedish company Epiroc, a supplier of productivity and sustainability solutions for the mining and infrastructure industries, has received a large order from Chilean mining company Sociedad Punta del Cobre SA (Pucobre). The order includes a substantial fleet of Minetruck MT65 S underground mine trucks and digital solutions aimed at enhancing Pucobre's productivity, cost efficiency, and safety.
Pucobre will deploy the trucks in its copper mines: Punta del Cobre, Granate, and Mantos de Cobre. The company, a long-standing customer of Epiroc, also ordered a package of digital solutions. These solutions provide advanced fleet monitoring and performance tracking, expected to increase operational efficiency and reduce emissions.
The order, including the digital solutions, is valued at approximately MSEK 235 (around EUR 20 million) and was booked in the second quarter of 2025. Epiroc will also provide service and spare parts for the equipment. This investment is positioned as supporting Pucobre's goals to modernize its mining operations and advance its sustainability objectives.
The Minetruck MT65 S has a 65-ton load capacity. The digital solutions, such as Fleet+ and Fleet+ ShiftGoals, offer visibility into machine performance and goal tracking through the My Epiroc interface. Additionally, the ordered Asset Health Information Service delivers sensor data and alerts integrated with the customer's own systems, supporting advanced fleet monitoring.
