Epiroc secures 350 million SEK mining equipment order in Kazakhstan

Epiroc has finalized a 350 million SEK order to supply underground mining equipment to the Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) for operations at the 10th Anniversary chromium mine in Kazakhstan. The contract, booked in the third quarter of 2024, encompasses loaders, mine trucks, and drilling rigs for production and reinforcement.

A significant portion of the order focuses on modernization and safety, with the inclusion of battery-electric vehicles to reduce ventilation requirements and collision avoidance systems across all units. Several machines are equipped for tele-remote operation to enhance safety in hazardous areas.

Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2025 and continue through the second half of 2026. This agreement extends a long-standing partnership between the two companies regarding the integration of automated and electrified mining solutions.
