German energy supplier eprimo has received recognition for its commitment to social responsibility, achieving the top position in its industry segment in the "Vorreiter in sozialer Verantwortung 2024" (Forerunners in Social Responsibility 2024) study conducted by F.A.Z.-Institut.

In parallel with this recognition, eprimo supported the "Energie erleben und verstehen" (Experiencing and Understanding Energy) project for primary school students during the 2023/24 academic year. This initiative, in partnership with the German environmental organization Deutsche Umwelt-Aktion e. V., aims to educate young children about renewable energy sources.

The project involved interactive learning sessions, games, and model-building activities to help fourth-graders understand where electricity comes from. A hands-on component allowed children to build their own solar collectors to learn about solar energy generation.

"It is a matter of heart for us to take social responsibility and to spark the interest of the younger generation in sustainable energy sources," stated eprimo CEO Katja Steger. The company supplies green electricity and gas to approximately 1.9 million customers in Germany.
