EQT establishes sustainability committee at board level
Investment firm EQT AB has formed a board-level sustainability committee to oversee its strategic direction and sustainability commitments.
EQT AB has established a dedicated sustainability committee to integrate ESG oversight into its board-level governance. The move represents a structural shift for the firm, aiming to formalize the dialogue between management and the board regarding sustainability strategies.
The committee is chaired by board member Nicola Kimm, who is also the Chief Sustainability Officer at Heidelberg Cement. Fellow committee members include EQT board chair Conni Jonsson and board member Margo Cook. The group is scheduled to meet quarterly to challenge and refine the firm’s strategy in response to market developments.
By engaging external thought leaders and standardizing oversight, EQT intends to monitor evolving sustainability trends. The committee is tasked with ensuring the firm’s long-term operations remain aligned with its stated environmental and governance objectives.
