EQT IV, an investment fund managed by EQT Partners, has signed an agreement to sell BTX Group to an affiliate of Sun European Partners. The sale marks the exit of EQT IV from its investment in the Danish apparel wholesaler.
BTX Group operates five distinct brands: Brandtex, Jensen Women, Signature, Imitz, and Ciso, targeting different segments of the mature womenswear market. During EQT IV's ownership, BTX Group has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from a traditional manufacturing and wholesale entity into a focused clothing business with a strong retail presence. This includes over 120 shop-in-shop solutions with retail partners.
The company has streamlined its operations and created a cohesive brand portfolio, with potential for further expansion beyond its core Scandinavian markets. According to EQT, BTX Group is well-positioned for future growth.
Sun European Partners stated it looks forward to supporting BTX Group's management in strengthening the company's market presence across Northern Europe. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
