EQT Life Sciences leads Series B financing extension for Noema Pharma
EQT Life Sciences has led a Series B financing extension for Noema Pharma, raising a total of CHF 130 million. The capital will advance the development of treatments for neurological diseases.

EQT Life Sciences announced on December 11, 2024, that it led a Series B financing extension for Noema Pharma, a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on central nervous system (CNS) disorders. The funding round raised a total of CHF 130 million, adding to previous investments from a consortium of global biotechnology investors.
The proceeds from this financing will be used to advance Noema Pharma’s pipeline of first-in-disease therapeutics. The company is developing treatments for neurological conditions with significant unmet medical needs. Noema Pharma has four programs in active Phase 2 clinical trials, targeting areas such as severe pain, Tourette syndrome, and menopausal symptoms.
Key assets include basimglurant for trigeminal neuralgia and tuberous sclerosis complex, gemlapodect for Tourette syndrome and childhood onset fluency disorder, and NOE-115 for vasomotor symptoms and other menopause-related symptoms. Key clinical trial readouts are anticipated in 2025 for all four studies.
Felice Verduyn-van Weegen, Partner at EQT, will join Noema Pharma’s Board of Directors. "Noema Pharma's innovative approach to CNS disorders aligns very well with our investment strategy," Verduyn-van Weegen stated. "We are excited to support their late-stage clinical pipeline and transformative therapies."
