EQT, a global investment organization, announced the final closing of its EQT X fund, successfully raising EUR 22 billion (USD 24 billion) in total commitments. Of this amount, EUR 21.7 billion (USD 23.5 billion) will be recognized as fee-generating assets under management. This figure surpasses the fund's original target of EUR 20 billion (USD 21.6 billion) and marks EQT's largest-ever fundraise, representing a nearly 40 percent increase from its predecessor, EQT IX.

The fundraising saw strong support from both existing and new investors, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and asset managers across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe. Notably, the private wealth segment contributed a larger share of commitments, reflecting EQT's recent strategic efforts to enhance access for this investor group.

EQT X continues the firm's long-standing private equity strategy, which historically has focused on investments in the Healthcare, Technology, and Tech-enabled Services sectors across Europe and North America. The firm highlights a track record of 2.7x realized gross multiple on invested capital over its 30-year history.

Since June 2022, EQT X has announced seven investments, including Envirotainer, a provider of cold chain solutions for biopharmaceuticals; Zeus, a supplier of advanced medical components; and Dechra Pharmaceuticals, an animal health business. The fund is currently approximately 30-35 percent invested.
