EQT Sells Acuon Group to Consortium Led by Hanwha Life and Centroid PE
Private equity firm EQT has agreed to sell Acuon Group, an independent financial platform in South Korea.

Private equity firm EQT announced an agreement to sell Acuon Group to a consortium led by Hanwha Life and Centroid PE. The transaction marks the next phase of Acuon's development under new strategic ownership.
During EQT's ownership period, Acuon underwent a significant digital and operational transformation. The group's total assets nearly doubled, reaching approximately KRW 10 trillion (around EUR 6.9 billion). Acuon Savings Bank, a part of the group, improved its ranking to become the fifth-largest savings bank in Korea by total lending assets, up from ninth.
This sale reflects EQT's strategy of supporting business transformations and fostering long-term growth within its portfolio companies. The firm has a history of investing in and developing businesses across various sectors.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
