EQT VI to Acquire Majority Stake in Nordic Aviation Capital
Private equity firm EQT VI has agreed to acquire a majority stake in aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC). The partnership aims to support NAC's further growth and fleet expansion.
EQT VI, a private equity firm, has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), the world's largest lessor of turboprop aircraft. EQT VI will partner with NAC's founder and Chairman, Martin Møller.
Møller will continue as Chairman and remain a significant shareholder, contributing approximately 50% of the capital. NAC, founded in 1990, specializes in turboprop aircraft leasing and holds a leading global market position. The company operates a fleet of nearly 250 aircraft, serving over 40 airlines in 30 countries.
The additional capital injection is intended to support NAC's fleet expansion and its strategy to provide flexible financing solutions for regional aircraft. EQT VI stated that the partnership aligns with its approach to supporting company growth and market leadership.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and values NAC at USD 3.3 billion on a cash and debt-free basis.
