Eric Wu's NavigateAI raises $25 million to address construction labor shortage
Eric Wu's new venture, NavigateAI, has secured $25 million in funding. The company is developing AI tools aimed at alleviating the severe labor shortage in the construction industry.

Eric Wu, the founder of Opendoor, has launched his latest company, NavigateAI, which has been operating out of stealth since May. The company announced it has raised $25 million in funding from investors including Elad Gil, Khosla Ventures, and Lennar.
NavigateAI is developing AI-powered "copilots" designed to provide construction workers with real-time, hands-free guidance through smartphones and Meta's AI glasses. This initiative aims to address a critical shortage of labor within the construction sector.
The construction industry faces a significant demand for workers, with estimates suggesting that data center projects alone require between 4,000 to 5,000 workers each. Wu, who departed from Opendoor in 2022, seeks to provide technological solutions to these operational challenges.
The newly secured capital is intended to accelerate product development and expand the company's reach within the construction market.
