Ericsson announced a simplified group structure and changes to its executive team aimed at improving customer service, leveraging R&D, and driving efficiencies. The company also created a new Asia-Pacific market area.
Ericsson has announced significant changes to its corporate structure and executive team, effective immediately. The company stated the restructuring aims to enhance customer service, better utilize research and development capabilities, and improve overall operational efficiencies.
A key change involves combining the Market Areas North East Asia and South East Asia, Oceania and India into a single Market Area Asia-Pacific (APAC). Patrick Johansson has been appointed as the Head of Market Area APAC and will continue to serve as a member of the Executive Team.
Furthermore, the portfolio of Business Area Enterprise Wireless Solutions (BEWS) will be redistributed to other parts of Ericsson that are best positioned to scale each activity, capture synergies, and leverage R&D capabilities more effectively.
As part of these changes, Åsa Tamsons, Chafic Nassif, and Andres Vicente are also included in the updated executive team composition. Ericsson anticipates these structural adjustments will strengthen its ability to meet market demands and foster global growth.
