Ericsson Wins Red Dot Award for Evolved Corporate Design
Ericsson has received a Red Dot Award 2026 in the Corporate Design and Identity category for its refreshed global visual identity. The award recognizes the company's efforts to update its brand system for broader engagement and scalability.

Ericsson has been honored with a Red Dot Award 2026 in the Corporate Design and Identity category for the evolution of its global visual identity, developed in partnership with Valtech RADON. The award acknowledges the company's comprehensive update to its branding.
The redesigned system aims to make Ericsson's brand more engaging and scalable across corporate, digital, and customer-facing channels, while retaining established visual elements. A key aspect of this evolution is the reinterpretation of "Econ," a recognizable brand asset, into a series of flexible and purposeful key visuals. Additionally, the company has expanded and refined its color palette to create a richer visual language.
This updated identity is intended to support Ericsson's business strategy and reflect its position in 5G and emerging technologies. David DeCheser, Global Chief Creative Officer at Valtech, noted the challenge of evolving an iconic identity while preserving its established equity. Niclas Medman, Head of Brand at Ericsson, stated the focus was on enhancing brand experiences rather than change for its own sake.
The Red Dot Design Award is an internationally recognized distinction for outstanding design quality and creative achievement. Ericsson's recognition highlights the successful integration of its evolved visual system across corporate communications, digital environments, and customer interactions.
