ESDS Software Raises ₹216 Cr From Anchor Investors Ahead of IPO

ESDS Software Solution, a provider of cloud and data centre services, has secured ₹216 crore (approximately $25 million) from anchor investors. This capital raise precedes the opening of the company's ₹720 crore ($85 million) initial public offering (IPO).

According to filings with the Indian BSE exchange, the Nashik-based company allocated 5.03 million shares to 19 entities at ₹429 per share, the upper end of its IPO price band. Domestic mutual funds were significant participants, acquiring nearly ₹177 crore ($21 million) worth of shares, accounting for 81.94% of the total anchor allocation.

ESDS Software Solution's IPO will open for subscription on September 1 and close on September 16. The shares are tentatively scheduled to list on the BSE and NSE on September 4. The company plans to deploy a substantial portion of the proceeds towards purchasing and installing cloud computing equipment and related infrastructure at its existing data centres.

Founded in 2005 by Piyush Somani, ESDS offers cloud infrastructure, managed services, data centre services, and SaaS products. This is not ESDS's first attempt at an IPO; they previously withdrew plans in 2021 due to the pandemic. Financially, the company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹120.8 crore ($14 million) for FY26, more than doubling from the previous fiscal year, while revenue rose 30.7% to ₹472.2 crore ($56 million).
