ESS and PursuitAlert Integrate to Enhance Road Hazard Warnings
Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS) and PursuitAlert have integrated their technologies to provide earlier warnings to drivers about high-speed police pursuits and emergency responses. The combined system expands the reach of real-time hazard alerts.
Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS) and PursuitAlert announced the integration of PursuitAlert's patented DigitalSiren™ technology with ESS's H.E.L.P.® Alert Network. This partnership aims to improve road safety by providing drivers with advance warnings of fast-moving hazards, including police pursuits and emergency vehicle responses.
The integration combines real-time, incident-specific information from PursuitAlert with the distribution capabilities of the H.E.L.P. Alert Network. This will enable alerts to be sent to navigation applications, in-cabin vehicle displays, and other network endpoints. The goal is to give motorists more time to slow down and react, thereby reducing the risk of secondary accidents and enhancing safety for both the public and first responders.
PursuitAlert was founded by law enforcement and public safety veterans to address dynamic and often dangerous roadway events. ESS's H.E.L.P. Alert Network connects vehicles, infrastructure, and drivers through a comprehensive advance warning system. This collaboration leverages the combined expertise and intellectual property of both companies to bolster road safety.
The agreement extends ESS's advance warning approach by offering digital alerts that go beyond line-of-sight visibility. When combined with visual cues like flashing lights, the integrated system has the potential to reduce crash risk by up to 90% and significantly improve driver response behavior compared to using a single warning layer alone.
