EssilorLuxottica and Meta announced the launch of Meta Glasses, a new collection of AI-powered eyewear. The initiative aims to make the smart glasses category more accessible to a broader consumer base.

The companies have established a range of smart eyewear products, including the Ray-Ban Meta, described as the world's best-selling AI glasses, Oakley Meta for athletic use, and Meta Ray-Ban Display featuring an in-lens display. The Ray-Ban Meta Optics line, previously introduced, offers styles optimized for prescription lenses.

While millions of consumers currently use AI glasses from the companies' portfolio, EssilorLuxottica and Meta intend to drive wider global adoption with the new company-branded Meta Glasses collection. This collection, starting at $299, is designed to offer more attainable innovation to consumers.
