EssilorLuxottica and Meta Introduce New AI-Powered Glasses

EssilorLuxottica and Meta Platforms have unveiled a new generation of AI glasses, including audio-focused models and the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3.

28 September 2026

EssilorLuxottica and Meta Platforms have expanded their range of AI-powered eyewear with new products revealed at Meta Connect. The companies introduced a new line of camera-free audio glasses, Ray-Ban Meta Audio, and the third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which will feature Meta's new personal AI agent, Muse.

The Ray-Ban Meta Audio line is designed for high-quality sound without blocking ambient noise. These glasses are the company's lightest and slimmest to date, weighing as little as 43 grams. The collection includes two new styles, Clubmaster and Burbank, and is compatible with a wide range of optical prescriptions.

The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 glasses offer a slimmer, more comfortable design, longer battery life, and a customizable action button for access to Meta AI. The collection includes the iconic Aviator model, celebrating its 90th anniversary, a new cat-eye style named Zena, and the Wayfarer in standard and large sizes.

Additionally, the companies are introducing new models called Capri and Nova, along with designs developed with an international icon. The Muse AI agent will be integrated into all AI glasses (US only). New features such as Dynamic Photo, Landscape Crop Mode, and Dolby Atmos support are also being added. An FDA-cleared hearing enhancement feature for adults will be available later this year.

EssilorLuxottica is broadening the global availability of its AI glasses. New markets include Poland, Portugal, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses will also become available in more regions, including the UK and Canada, with pre-orders starting soon in France, Italy, and Germany.
