EssilorLuxottica completes acquisition of Optegra
EssilorLuxottica has finalized the purchase of the Optegra ophthalmology network from MidEuropa. The transaction has received all required regulatory clearances.
EssilorLuxottica has successfully concluded its acquisition of Optegra from investment firm MidEuropa. The deal follows regulatory approval from all relevant competition authorities.
Optegra operates a network of more than 70 eye hospitals and diagnostic clinics across five European countries, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. It conducts its medical services under the Optegra, Lexum, and Iris brands.
This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for EssilorLuxottica as it seeks to strengthen its position in the medical technology and eye-health services sector. By bringing the Optegra platform under its corporate umbrella, the company aims to integrate clinical patient care into its existing portfolio of vision solutions.
