The two-day conference featured discussions on emerging technologies and their impact on the optical industry. Key highlights included the celebration of Transitions GEN S lenses, marking their first anniversary with testimonies on their benefits for patients and practices. New clinical trial results were presented, suggesting improved vision quality compared to clear lenses in varying light conditions.
Discussions also centered on the convergence of eyewear and wearables, exemplified by the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses featuring Transitions lenses and the FDA-approved Nuance Audio, which integrates vision and hearing capabilities. The event also addressed the 'New Age Eyecare' revolution, driven by AI, advanced diagnostics, and digital health solutions aimed at increasing prevention and access to care.
