EssilorLuxottica presents five-year myopia control research findings
EssilorLuxottica will present new research findings at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) meeting, including five-year clinical results for Essilor Stellest lenses.

Charenton-le-Pont, France – EssilorLuxottica is set to present new research findings on myopia management and light management at the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) in Seattle, USA. A key focus will be the five-year clinical follow-up study of its Essilor Stellest lenses.
The released five-year data indicates that Essilor Stellest lenses slowed myopia progression in children by an average of one and three-quarter dioptres over the five-year period. These findings reinforce the lenses' established efficacy in slowing the progression of nearsightedness in children, demonstrating conclusive evidence into the fifth year.
EssilorLuxottica's R&D experts will participate in poster presentations and sponsored sessions. At booth #4815, attendees can engage with company experts and learn about advancements in vision care. The company will also showcase its Digital Infinite Refraction range, including the Vision-R™ 800, Vision-S™ 700, and the Myopia Expert™ 700 for myopia progression monitoring.
"We are excited to share the latest five-year findings of our lenses at ARVO, as long-term clinical data is essential to showcase their continued efficacy and performance in children," stated Norbert Gorny, Chief Scientific Officer at EssilorLuxottica. He emphasized the importance of scientific data and innovation in addressing myopia and protecting young patients' vision.
Beyond myopia control, the company's presentations will also cover research on light management, including topics such as light exposure and photochromic lenses. These presentations highlight EssilorLuxottica's commitment to advancing vision care through scientific research and technological development.
