EssilorLuxottica shared its latest research and scientific findings on myopia management at the 5th World Congress of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (WCPOS V) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, held from July 11-13. The company, an exclusive diamond sponsor of the event, presented comprehensive data from a five-year clinical trial of its Essilor Stellest lenses.
The presented research focused on the efficacy of Essilor Stellest lenses, including strategies that combine these lenses with low-dose atropine. Experts discussed methods for evaluating myopia control trials and the role of outdoor time and sun protection in myopia prevention.
Findings indicated that the Essilor Stellest lenses demonstrated no impact on astigmatism and showed effects on choroidal thickness after three years of use. The congress attracted over 1,400 international delegates from 70 countries.
EssilorLuxottica highlighted the congress as a key platform for presenting evidence-based research and fostering collaboration among pediatric ophthalmologists to advance global myopia management strategies.
