EssilorLuxottica reported consolidated revenue of Euro 6,848 million for the first quarter of 2025, marking a 7.3% increase at constant exchange rates compared to the same period in 2024. The company saw an 8.1% rise in current exchange rates.
The eyewear giant experienced sound growth across both its wholesale (PS) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, with comparable store sales increasing by 8%. The EMEA region performed strongly, growing 10% at constant exchange rates, supported by both channels. North America saw a 4% increase, while the Asia-Pacific region reported double-digit growth, driven by strong demand for myopia solutions in China.
New product initiatives and brand performance also contributed to the results. The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses line showed rapid growth, and the Nuance Audio glasses were launched in France, following introductions in the U.S. and Italy, with further expansion planned for the UK and Germany. The company is also implementing measures to manage the impact of U.S. import duties.
EssilorLuxottica indicated that this performance reflects the effectiveness of its strategy and the continued relevance of its brands. The company is set to continue its focus on innovation and market expansion.
