EssilorLuxottica Scores 99/100 on French Gender Equality Index

EssilorLuxottica has released its 2025 gender equality and representation indices, reporting a score of 99 out of 100 on the French government's Professional Gender Equality Index for the year 2024. This index, established in 2018, measures companies' efforts in promoting gender equity.

The French index evaluates companies based on five indicators: pay gap reduction, equal pay raises, promotion equality, the re-hiring of employees after maternity leave, and gender balance among the top 10 highest earners. EssilorLuxottica's high score indicates its ongoing commitment to professional equality in France and reflects concrete initiatives for career development, remuneration, and work-life balance for both women and men.

The company's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policy is built on four pillars: increasing internal and external awareness to foster inclusion, developing inclusive processes, setting data-driven goals, and ensuring diversity of thought. This framework supports the company's efforts to improve gender representation and equity.

Globally, the representation of women within EssilorLuxottica is also increasing. For the full year 2024, women constituted 60% of the overall staff. Within management bodies, women accounted for 35%, and this figure was also matched among senior executives.
