Essity acquires feminine care business in Brazil
Hygiene and health company Essity has agreed to acquire Kenvue's feminine care business in Brazil for USD 284 million. The deal is expected to strengthen Essity's market position in Latin America.

Hygiene and health company Essity has entered into an agreement to acquire Kenvue's feminine care business in Brazil. The purchase price is USD 284 million on a cash and debt-free basis, approximately SEK 2.7 billion.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Essity’s position as a market leader in feminine care in Latin America. The business includes the market-leading brands Carefree, Sempre Livre, and o.b. within sanitary pads, liners, and tampons.
The transaction is structured as an asset purchase from certain Kenvue subsidiaries. It encompasses ownership of the Carefree, Sempre Livre, and o.b. brands, along with related intellectual property rights and production facilities.
