ET NOW Acquires OpiGo to Expand Investment Platform

Mumbai – Media conglomerate Times Network has acquired fintech startup OpiGo as part of ET NOW's strategy to broaden its financial services for investors. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

OpiGo's platform, which provides retail investors with insights into stock recommendations from SEBI-registered experts, will be integrated into ET NOW Pro, the news channel's premium subscription service. OpiGo was founded in 2022 by Devansh Mehta.

The acquisition aims to consolidate live trade ideas, recommendations, investor communities, and financial content under a single offering. ET NOW, launched in 2023 as a digital business news platform, is expanding beyond news into a broader financial intelligence and investor engagement service.

This move aligns with a growing trend in India's financial sector, where companies are increasingly developing subscription-led products and advisory services. The acquisition also comes amid heightened regulatory oversight in India's fintech space, driving demand for compliance-focused platforms.
