Etihad Airways is set to launch a new direct flight route connecting Gothenburg Landvetter Airport with Abu Dhabi, commencing on December 17, 2026. The service will operate four times weekly, utilizing aircraft with a capacity of 160 seats, establishing the first direct link between the Gothenburg region and the United Arab Emirates.
This new route is expected to significantly enhance international connectivity for Western Sweden, a key export region. The improved accessibility is crucial for local companies that compete globally and rely on efficient international travel links for their operations and expansion.
Via Abu Dhabi, the new route will provide travelers from Gothenburg with access to more than 50 destinations across Asia.
