Etihad Airways to Launch Service from Gothenburg

Etihad Airways is set to launch a new service connecting Gothenburg Landvetter Airport with Abu Dhabi four times per week, beginning in December. The airline stated the route has been highly anticipated by both the regional business community and leisure travelers.

This new connection is expected to significantly enhance travel options from West Sweden to destinations across Asia and Australia. The airline highlighted the anticipated demand from businesses in the region conducting trade with Asian markets.

Officials from the Gothenburg region have noted this as the first direct flight link between Gothenburg and the United Arab Emirates. The route is seen as a response to a long-standing demand for improved international air connectivity for West Sweden.

The addition of this route is part of Etihad Airways' ongoing network expansion, aiming to provide greater access to key global markets for its passengers.
