EU Launches Pact to Channel Capital into European Tech Firms
The European Commission and EIB Group have launched a framework to channel long-term capital into European technology companies. Thirteen investors have already expressed interest.

Brussels – The European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group have launched the European Institutional Investors Pact (EIIP) at the TechEU Equity Summit. The new voluntary framework aims to increase long-term institutional investment in European technology and scale-up companies.
Thirteen institutional investors have already expressed their intention to channel capital into European innovation. Investments will be directed through initiatives including the planned €15 billion European Tech Champions Initiative (ETCI) 2.0 and the €5 billion Scaleup Europe Fund.
The pact comprises two components: a Policy Dialogue Forum led by the Commission, which will address regulatory developments and investment policy, and an Investment Platform led by the EIB. The platform will offer investors access to investment opportunities, market intelligence, and networking.
The launch intends to facilitate European technology companies' access to venture capital and growth equity markets. A key objective is to ensure late-stage financing availability to accelerate growth for European tech firms and retain them within Europe.
