Europcar Mobility Group Appoints José Blanco as Low-Cost Unit Director
Europcar Mobility Group has appointed José Blanco as the new Managing Director of its Low Cost Business Unit. Blanco will also join the Group's Executive Committee.
Europcar Mobility Group has appointed José Blanco as the new Managing Director of its Low Cost Business Unit. Blanco will also become a member of the Group’s Executive Committee.
The low-cost car rental segment is one of Europe's most dynamic sectors, with an estimated market size of approximately 2 billion euros. The segment has historically experienced double-digit annual growth and is expected to continue expanding, particularly in leisure destinations.
Blanco previously served as Deputy Managing Director of the Low Cost BU since early 2019. Prior to this, he held sales and marketing director roles for Europcar in the UK and Spain, bringing over 20 years of experience in the leisure and tourism industry.
Fabrizio Ruggiero, Europcar Mobility Group Deputy CEO, highlighted Blanco's expertise in strengthening the Goldcar and InterRent brands and improving customer satisfaction as key priorities for the business unit's future development.
