Europcar Netherlands Formed After Merger, Becomes Market Leader
Europcar Mobility Group's Dutch operations have merged with Euromobil under the banner Europcar Netherlands, following consolidation by partner Pon Holdings, establishing the country's largest vehicle rental company.

Europcar Mobility Group's Dutch operations have been officially unified under the name Europcar Netherlands as of July 1, 2026. The merger was executed by the group's partner and franchisee, Pon Holdings, integrating local Europcar and Euromobil services. This consolidation positions Europcar Netherlands as the leading vehicle rental entity in the country.
The newly formed company combines Europcar's established expertise in B2C and B2B rentals, tourism, and international mobility with Euromobil's corporate solutions background. Europcar Netherlands will manage a fleet exceeding 12,000 vehicles, encompassing passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and electric options, supported by a network of over 150 locations nationwide.
For business clients, this integration provides extensive national coverage and immediate access to Europcar Mobility Group's global network, which spans more than 130 countries. Euromobil's corporate services will continue to operate under the specialized "Europcar for Business" label.
Europcar Netherlands is also expanding its offerings by integrating with other mobility services under Pon Holdings. This includes access to bike leasing via Lease a Bike, shared mobility options from Check and Greenwheels, mobility hubs managed by Hely, and integrated management solutions through Shuttel mobility cards and Pon Business Mobility. Mark Lister, International Partner Development Director at Europcar Mobility Group, stated that the integration solidifies the Europcar brand's position as a key mobility partner in the Netherlands.
