European Commission DG INTPA and Accenture Deploy AI Assistant

The European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) has partnered with Accenture to deploy an AI assistant designed to enhance staff efficiency in international partnership work. The platform supports personnel at both headquarters and worldwide delegations.

Launched in March 2026, the AI assistant has quickly gained traction, with over 2,000 regular users submitting more than 400,000 queries to date. The system has been specifically tailored to DG INTPA's internal terminology, procedures, policy priorities, and working methods.

This AI assistant integrates advanced language models with secure access to internal knowledge bases and documents, alongside internet connectivity. Its purpose is to provide contextually relevant support for teams operating in over 100 countries, aiming to streamline routine tasks and allow staff to focus on complex analysis and strategic decision-making.

Accenture highlighted that the development process prioritized security, responsible use, and comprehensive staff training. The next phase of the initiative will involve incorporating agentic AI capabilities to support structured workflows and deepen integration into DG INTPA's core business processes.
