A World of Dinosaurs, situated near Kalmar, Sweden, has established itself as Europe's largest dinosaur museum. Since its opening in 2013, the museum has expanded its collection to feature more than 200 dinosaur skeletons and highly realistic animatronic figures.
Founder Roland Wiberg emphasized the museum's goal to provide visitors with an immersive experience of dinosaur life. The animatronic dinosaurs are designed to breathe, move, and roar, offering a lifelike representation. "It's very exciting for both children and grown-ups to suddenly stand eye to eye with a T-Rex," Wiberg stated.
Wiberg's lifelong ambition to create a dinosaur museum was realized by collecting fossils during travels and collaborating with animatronics specialists. The exhibition includes a diverse range of prehistoric creatures, such as the colossal Mamenchisaurus, the formidable Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the vast flying reptiles like Quetzalcoatlus.
Spanning 3,500 square meters, the museum presents creatures that inhabited land, air, and sea. The exhibition aims to educate visitors about the origin and extinction of dinosaurs while providing a captivating and educational experience for all ages.
