Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Final Held in Basel, Switzerland

The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 final is being held today, May 17, in the St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. Europe's largest music and entertainment event is once again expected to draw millions of viewers via television and streaming.

This year's competition features a total of 37 countries. Five nations – Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain – automatically qualify for the final. The remaining 31 countries competed in two semi-finals, with the top 20 advancing to the final show, resulting in a total of 26 competing acts.

Switzerland is hosting this year's contest as the winner of the 2024 edition, with Nemo's song "The Code" securing victory last year. The motto for ESC 2025 is "United By Music."

The final is being broadcast live across multiple channels and streaming platforms, including Germany's Das Erste and ONE, alongside offerings from local public broadcasters.
