EverProX Launches New High-Speed, Low-Power SerDes Chipset

EverProX's Silicon Line brand has released its new MSDL™ (MIPI Serial Data Link) chipset, delivering significant improvements in data transfer speed and power efficiency.

The new ultra-low-power solution aggregates two simultaneous MIPI-D-PHY camera streams, each operating at up to 10 Gbit/s. These two streams are combined into two serialized links capable of spanning distances of several tens of meters. This is achieved with a power consumption of less than 100 mW per link.

The MSDL chipset supports 20 Gbit/s data transmission over MIPI-D-PHY standards for distances exceeding several tens of meters. This optical-electrical solution replaces bulky cable bundles with alternatives such as fiber optics or thinner coaxial cables, offering a notable advantage in space-constrained environments like robotics and automotive applications.

EverProX states that the MSDL chipset can help reduce equipment size and weight, while enhancing system reliability by minimizing the number and length of cables. This technology is expected to create new possibilities for applications demanding high data throughput and low power consumption.
