Evident Launches EviSmart Downloader to Automate Dental Lab File Intake

Evident, a company specializing in digital dentistry solutions, has announced the launch of EviSmart Downloader, a new product aimed at streamlining the file intake process for dental laboratories. The software is designed to automatically retrieve and import files from multiple intraoral scanners and external portals directly into a lab's workflow, regardless of the originating software or hardware.

The EviSmart Downloader is intended to reduce administrative time, minimize data loss, and ensure consistent file organization for dental labs. "We designed EviSmart Downloader to simplify one of the most time-consuming lab tasks: manually retrieving and sorting digital impressions," said Paolo Kalaw, CEO of Evident. He added that the tool is built to ensure accuracy and efficiency for labs handling large volumes of scans, preventing lost or duplicate files.

The downloader integrates seamlessly into existing dental lab workflows, eliminating the need for lab technicians to navigate between different devices or portals. Files from all cases are reported to arrive in a consistent format, ready for further processing.

It also aims to provide consistent file naming and organization for improved tracking and compliance.

EviSmart Downloader is now available as part of Evident's EviSmart platform. The company focuses on modernizing dental lab workflows through AI-driven and automation-focused tools.
