Evident Launches EviSmart Nest for Automated Dental Part Nesting
Evident has released EviSmart Nest, a new tool to automate the nesting process for dental parts used in 3D printing and milling. The software aims to reduce material waste and production time for dental labs.

Evident has launched EviSmart Nest, a new tool designed to automate the nesting process for dental parts in digital dentistry. The software is intended for use with both 3D printing and milling, aiming to optimize the arrangement of parts to minimize material waste and accelerate production cycles.
By automating the nesting stage, EviSmart Nest intends to remove the need for manual intervention, thereby increasing operator efficiency and enabling dental practices to handle a larger volume of cases in less time. Paolo Kalaw, CEO of Evident, highlighted the tool's role in maximizing the efficient use of resources such as materials, machinery, and time.
The EviSmart Nest technology supports both additive (3D printing) and subtractive (milling) manufacturing workflows. It is designed to conserve costly materials like resins and discs, and by optimizing component layouts, it can help reduce machine run times and increase overall throughput.
Evident focuses on advancing digital dentistry through AI-driven solutions. The EviSmart platform, including EviSmart Nest, seeks to streamline operations, enhance accuracy, and foster collaboration within the dental ecosystem. EviSmart Nest is now available as part of the EviSmart platform.
