Evident has launched its Evismart platform, aimed at helping dental laboratories address common inefficiencies and elevated costs. The platform focuses on a dual strategy: preventing erroneous patient information from reaching the lab and reducing the time-consuming manual data entry that drains staff resources.

Traditionally, dental labs face challenges such as incomplete or incorrect digital scans and prescriptions, leading to frustrating delays and costly remakes. Evident states that up to 66% of cases require additional clarification from dental offices, and a single remake can necessitate the production of eight new crowns simply to cover costs and maintain profitability.

Evismart Quality Control (QC) is designed to tackle this issue. This AI-powered tool automatically reviews every incoming digital scan and prescription the moment it is received. Any problems, such as poor margins or missing information, are flagged instantly, and the originating dental office is notified to correct them before they impact the workflow. This process aims to reduce phone calls, guesswork, and the number of costly remakes.

The platform also targets the elimination of "busy work." This includes manual processes like downloading scans from multiple portals, renaming files, and entering data into lab management software. Evident reports that 95.5% of technicians work excessive hours, leading to high burnout rates. To counter this, Evident offers solutions such as Evismart Downloader, which automatically retrieves and organizes scan files, and Evismart CaseEntry, which creates new cases and schedules them within existing systems, freeing up staff time for more technical work.
