Ex-BharatPe Co-founder Shashvat Nakrani in Talks to Join Luxury For You

Shashvat Nakrani, who co-founded the Indian fintech company BharatPe, is in negotiations to join Luxury For You, a Dubai-based online platform for luxury goods, as its co-founder and CEO. Nakrani is expected to oversee the company's operations should the agreement be finalized.

Founded in 2024, Luxury For You aims to provide consumers with access to a global inventory of luxury items. The company is reportedly seeking new funding to enhance its technological infrastructure and customer acquisition efforts. These funds are intended to bolster its strategy of directly connecting Indian consumers with international luxury brands.

The platform states it uses NFC authentication to combat counterfeit products and emphasizes direct supplier integrations over maintaining its own inventory. Luxury For You claims to offer access to over 1,200 luxury brands and 250,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs), with an average order value of $717.

Luxury For You competes with international players like FarFetch and Mytheresa, as well as domestic Indian platforms such as Ajio Luxe and Tata CLIQ. Nakrani's prior experience in scaling BharatPe is anticipated to be instrumental in Luxury For You's expansion plans, particularly within the Indian market.
