exida releases software tool to support EU Cyber Resilience Act compliance
exida has launched exSILentia® CRA to assist manufacturers in managing product risk assessments ahead of the December 2027 EU regulatory deadline.

Industrial cybersecurity firm exida has unveiled exSILentia® CRA, a software tool designed to streamline product risk assessments and technical documentation. The platform integrates with the existing exSILentia® suite to help manufacturers comply with the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
With the CRA implementation deadline set for December 2027, manufacturers of connected devices face the task of assessing significant numbers of new and legacy products. The regulation mandates a rigorous process known as Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for every affected product, which can create a heavy administrative burden without specialized digital workflows.
exSILentia® CRA automates aspects of this compliance by providing a structured framework pre-loaded with industry-standard risk matrices and mitigation requirements. CTO Iwan van Beurden stated that the tool aims to allow developers to focus on product creation while the software manages the complex legislative requirements.
The tool is available immediately. The company notes that while the software assists in documentation and preparation, utilizing the tool does not automatically grant regulatory certification or replace the required formal conformity assessment process.
