Exiger secures $12 million U.S. Air Force supply chain contract

The U.S. Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center has awarded Exiger a $12 million contract to provide supply chain monitoring and defense industrial base analysis for its intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems. The initiative focuses on enhancing the resilience of the U.S. nuclear triad's ground-based leg.

Exiger will utilize its supply chain intelligence platform to perform risk analysis at the parts, supplier, and material levels. This includes identifying single-source dependencies, vendor viability, obsolescence risks, and potential counterfeit components within the supply chain. The company aims to provide predictive analytics to support inventory forecasting and risk mitigation planning.

"Ensuring 24/7 readiness requires both the long-term orchestration of multiple strategic, sensitive supplier bases while actively mapping and mitigating adversarial threats," said Scott LaFoy, Vice President of Nuclear and Technology Security Programs at Exiger. He noted that the contract reflects a broader industry shift toward granular, parts-level intelligence rather than traditional company-level risk assessment.

This award marks an expansion of Exiger's work with U.S. national security agencies. The project is intended to improve operational readiness by providing the Air Force with visibility into the dependencies that impact missile system performance.
