Expedia Integrates Hotel Bookings into Meta's Muse AI Agent
Expedia is integrating hotel bookings into Meta's AI agent, Muse. The new feature will allow U.S. travelers to search and book accommodations using natural language descriptions.

Expedia announced it will integrate hotel bookings into Meta's artificial intelligence agent, Muse. U.S. travelers will soon be able to search for and reserve hotel stays by describing their needs in natural language.
The new capability allows users to specify destination, dates, and hotel preferences, after which Muse will surface relevant options from Expedia's platform. Users can review rates, availability, room details, and cancellation terms before deciding on a property. The booking process can then be completed within Muse.
Expedia will remain the merchant of record for hotel bookings made through Muse, with payment completed via the Muse checkout experience. The service is slated for a U.S. launch soon, aiming to provide a new avenue for travel planning and booking.
This integration extends online travel agencies' (OTAs) reach into social platforms and AI-driven interfaces, seeking to make travel planning and booking more seamless and personalized.
