The former leads individuals to continue investing in something due to past commitments, even when better alternatives exist. The latter highlights a preference for familiar methods due to risk aversion.
This combination can create a situation where experienced professionals, accustomed to specific methodologies and software, lack the time or willingness to adapt to a fast-changing environment. Their previously valued experience may work against them if it hinders the acquisition of new skills and adaptation to the industry's evolving demands.
