Explora III Luxury Cruise Ship Unveiled for Summer 2026

Explora Journeys is set to introduce its newest luxury vessel, the Explora III, for its maiden voyage in summer 2026. This ship represents the first in the company's Evolution class, designed to offer an enhanced cruising experience with more space, refined suite designs, and a focus on environmental responsibility.

The Explora III measures 268 meters in length and has a gross tonnage of 72,810 GT, making it slightly larger than its sister ships, Explora I and Explora II. Despite the increase in size, the passenger capacity remains limited to 463 suites. This ratio ensures one of the highest space-per-guest ratios in the luxury cruise market, aiming to provide an intimate and uncrowded atmosphere with spacious public areas and decks.

A significant addition for the Evolution class is the introduction of two Owner's Residences. One residence, designed by Patricia Urquiola, spans over 3,000 square feet and features a large terrace with a private whirlpool. The second Owner's Residence offers a similar expansive layout on Deck 8. These suites are aimed at guests seeking the utmost in privacy, space, and personalized service.

Beyond the top-tier residences, Explora III will also feature an increased number of Ocean Penthouses and Ocean Residences. All accommodations are designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces, and high-quality finishes, reinforcing the 'home at sea' philosophy. New onboard venues include the Shore Club restaurant and an updated Ocean Wellness area.

Explora III will be the first Explora Journeys ship to utilize LNG propulsion, aligning with the company's broader decarbonization strategy. The ship's development underscores a commitment to advancing sustainability within the luxury travel sector.
