Explora Journeys Launches First Rolex Boutique at Sea
Luxury cruise line Explora Journeys will open a dedicated Rolex retail space aboard its vessel EXPLORA I. The store begins operations during the ship's maiden voyage in July.
Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle division of the MSC Group, has announced the opening of the first Rolex boutique to operate on a cruise ship. The retail space is located in the lobby area of the company’s new vessel, EXPLORA I.
The boutique features a curated selection of Rolex timepieces, managed by staff specifically trained by the manufacturer to assist passengers with inquiries and purchases. This installation marks a shift toward integrating high-end luxury retail brands into the onboard cruise experience.
CEO Michael Ungerer stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s objective of providing elevated service for travelers. The store is scheduled to open on July 17, 2023, coinciding with the vessel’s inaugural journey from Southampton to Copenhagen.
