The Expo 2027 in Belgrade is poised to generate new opportunities for trade and tourism between Serbia and North Macedonia. A "Visit Serbia" B2B networking event held in Skopje gathered over 50 representatives from business and tourism sectors to explore collaboration prospects linked to the Expo.

North Macedonia will participate in Expo 2027 with a national pavilion themed "All Rhythms of the Sun," showcasing its music, gastronomy, wine, tourism, culture, and creative industries.

Danilo Jerinić, CEO of Expo 2027 Belgrade, stated the event aims to create shared opportunities for the region. The Expo's business program includes six forums, a two-day Global Business and Technology Summit, over 250 bilateral events, and more than 50,000 business meetings, facilitated by a digital B2B platform.

Participants also explored joint tourism routes connecting the two countries. Between January and July 2026, Serbia saw 82,047 visitors from North Macedonia, a 22% year-on-year increase. Expo 2027 Belgrade will run from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," expecting approximately four million visitors.
