Organizers of EXPO 2027 Belgrade and Serbian business representatives held a "Visit Serbia B2B Networking" event in Zagreb to showcase tourism and business opportunities in Serbia.

The event, which took place on October 14, 2026, in Zagreb, gathered Croatian and Serbian professionals to explore cooperation and establish new partnerships before the first specialized exposition in the Western Balkans.

Igor Kovačević, COO and Head of the International Participants Department for EXPO 2027, highlighted the event's regional significance. "EXPO 2027 Belgrade represents an opportunity for the entire region," Kovačević stated. "We want businesses to view this as a platform for forging partnerships and seizing opportunities, both now and in the future."

Economic ties between Croatia and Serbia are robust, with bilateral trade reaching nearly €2.5 billion in 2025. This trade spans sectors including tourism, transport, energy, technology, construction, and agriculture. Zagreb was a stop on the "Visit Serbia" tour, aimed at promoting Serbia's tourism and economic potential internationally.

EXPO 2027 Belgrade is scheduled from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All." Over 140 international participants are confirmed, with millions of visits expected.
