During the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, organizers of EXPO 2027 Belgrade outlined strategies to leverage the upcoming international event to boost Serbian tourism. Scheduled for May 15 to August 15, 2027, the exposition represents the first time a global exhibition of this scale will be hosted in the Balkans.

Operating under the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," the event aims to host over 140 international participants and attract more than four million visitors. Part of the strategy includes marketing tour packages that combine the exposition with travel to other national landmarks, such as the Novi Sad region, the Danube gorges, and the Golubac Fortress.

The initiative follows a period of positive performance for the Serbian travel sector. Data from January to August 2026 indicates a 6.5 percent increase in visitor numbers compared to the same period in 2025, with overnight stays rising by 5.8 percent.
